This course is free for coaches in Region 6 (sponsored by RAC)
Coaches outside those regions may be able to attend (subject to space) for a course fee of $200 TBA
About the Clinician
Ritchie is the Head of Coach Education and Development at the Scottish FA and former Men’s U21 National Team Assistant Coach. He is a highly experienced coach and coach educator holding the coveted UEFA Pro Licence, a Masters in Performance Coaching, the UEFA Elite Youth A coaching license, and the Scottish FA Advanced Children’s coaching license. Ritchie has been coaching for 33 years, with 25 of those years spent working within the Football Development Department of the Scottish FA. During this time, Ritchie has focused on developing and improving players and coaches from both the grassroots and professional game. He has been responsible for the implementation and delivery of the following National Projects:
- The Scottish FA Long Term Player Development Plan and National Player Pathway Initiatives
- UEFA License level Coach Education Courses – A, B, Youth A, Youth B, ACL
- Tutor Training Program / Coach Educator Award for all Scottish FA Course Tutors
- The 2020 Player Development project for talented players aged 9-12
- The Scotland National Futsal Team
Ritchie has also previously been involved with other Scotland International Youth and Adult squads, most notably as Head Coach of the U19 Women’s team at the 2008 European Championships. He has experience within the professional game, having worked as a Youth Development coach for Glasgow Rangers FC and first-team Assistant coach for Dumbarton FC in the Scottish Championship. He has traveled extensively throughout Europe on UEFA Coach Development initiatives and in North America, delivering Club/Coach and player Development projects, including presenting at the USC Convention. He has also worked within the Middle East as a Technical Consultant to the Saudi Arabian Football Federation and Technical Director of Coerver Coaching KSA.
