Preview: 2025 Spring College Showcase Kicks Off This Weekend

This weekend NorCal Premier Soccer will again host its Spring College Showcase, an event bringing together hundreds of teams and thousands of players to play meaningful matches in front of 120 college coaches from all across the country looking for their next star recruits.

Over the course of Saturday and Sunday, teams from NorCal’s ECNL RL will be playing their last league matches alongside friendlies featuring squads from the ECNL, special guest teams from Hawaii, and Sacramento Republic FC.

“The NorCal College Showcase is one of the best opportunities for players looking to play at the next level to be seen by college coaches from schools both local and out of state,” said NPL Commissioner Kelcey Chaidez. “The featured teams will be able to show their ability in a competitive environment giving them the potential opportunity to play at the collegiate level.”

While many of the attending college coaches come from California, overall a total of 20 different states are represented with schools from the NCAA Divisions I-III, NAIA, and junior college levels all scheduled to attend.

“Regardless of the level each player at the showcase is hoping to play at in the coming years, there will be someone at that level present,” Chaidez said. “This is a unique opportunity to be seen by schools from as close as California to as far as New York.”

For the first time ever, the Showcase also coincides with NorCal’s College ID Camp, which will take place Friday and feature several of the coaches attending the event. More information about the College ID Camp can be found here.

Additionally, in the ECNL-RL, five of the six competing divisions are still up for grabs and will be decided in front of the college coaches, with MVLA’s 2009 girls the only side to clinch a title thus far.

This weekend’s ECNL-RL Games of the Week and championship scenarios have all been previewed here.

Finally, NorCal Premier Soccer would like to again welcome multiple different delegations from Hawaii to the competition as there will be several matches played between local teams and the Hawaiian Soccer Federation as well as Hawaii Rush.
