NorCal to Host Regional Symposia in R1 & R2 this August

At the beginning of August, NorCal will host our Regional Symposia in Regions 1 & 2, featuring one day of learning tailored towards each region’s Coaches and Clubs. The Symposia are free of cost to coaches, leaders, board members, admin staff, etc. from each region; advance registration required.
PROGRAMMING
The schedule (to be released soon) will include a mix of Coaching Education & Club Development learning opportunities tailored specifically to the region; there will also be a combination of classroom and field sessions focused on different levels and areas of the game. In addition, there’s an opportunity for coaches to earn their Grassroots 7v7 and 9v9 licenses (registration with USSF required). Plus, US Soccer Foundation will host a Coach-Mentor Training, on ‘Addressing Challenging Behaviors with Empathy’ (free; must register separately).
GOALS
- Deliver in-person coach education and club support services annually in each region
- Provide programming that reflects regional priorities, needs, and voices
- Empower local leaders to drive coaching development
- Foster a collaborative culture of peer learning, mentoring, and community building
