After a successful weekend in which the girls teams were narrowed down to a final four, this weekend will see the boys from State and Premier divisions of the U11-U13 NorCal State Cup compete to earn spots in the semifinals.

A competition that started all the way back in August is finally down to its final two weekends as matches at Granite Regional Park in Sacramento, San Juan Soccer Club in Rancho Cordova, Fallon Sports Park in Dublin, and Alden E. Oliver Sports Park in Castro Valley.

Each age group will take part in a slightly different format of gameplay this weekend. The U11 teams play round of 16 and quarterfinal matches Saturday, the U12’s play both on Sunday, while the U13 age group participates in the round of 16 on Saturday and the quarterfinals on Sunday.

Overall 5,257 games were played between 1656 different teams at 25 different locations, ahead of Saturday and Sunday’s slate of games.
