NPL Matchday #10

While many teams will take part in tournaments this Halloween weekend, there are still a plethora of NPL matches on the docket all across the state. There’s now less than a month of play for the fall season meaning that earning all three points this Saturday and Sunday will be a priority for every team in the competition.

Here are your NPL games of the week:

U16 Boys NPL North

Juventus Academy Silicon Valley 0 – San Francisco Elite Academy 2

Saturday, 10/29 11:00 a.m. @ Red Morton Park – McGarvey

Both Juventus Academy Silicon Valley and San Francisco Elite Academy come into this crucial U16 Boys NPL North contest unbeaten on the year. The hosts, however, have dropped points twice with draws and currently stand on 11 points from five games. Meanwhile, Elite are a perfect 4-0-0 so far and have picked up one more point than Juventus. A win for Juventus will keep them in the title race, while a San Francisco victory will open up a four point gap.

U14 Boys NPL North

SF United FC 3 – San Francisco Glens 0

Goalscorers:

United: Snavely (2), Monfiglio

In the San Francisco derby this past weekend, SF United FC put in a commanding performance to route the San Francisco Glens via a 3-0 scoreline. Mateo Monfiglio put the hosts up in the 45th minute before a late brace from William Snavely capped off a resounding victory.

U14 Girls NPL West

San Ramon FC 0 – Pleasanton RAGE 8

Goalscorers:

San Ramon: Wescott (2), Marcoux (2), Rim (2), Navarro, Garuda

Traveling to Bay Area rivals San Ramon FC, Pleasanton RAGE scored early and often in this U14 Girls NPL West Contest, downing the hosts via an 8-0 scoreline. Kaia Wescott, Kaitlin Rim, and Gabby Marcoux each scored braces to lead the visitors in a match that was 6-0 at halftime. Ellie Navarro and Mira Garuda each also chipped in goals in the emphatic victory for RAGE.

U19 Girls NPL East

West Coast Soccer – Pleasanton RAGE

Sunday, 10/30 11:00 a.m. @ Cayetano Park

This U19 Girls NPL West contest will see first place West Coast Soccer match up against second place Pleasanton RAGE. Both sides have an identical record and have picked up 13 points from five games, but West Coast currently top the table thanks to a superior goal differential. The race for the top spot in this division is tight as Association Football Club also have 13 points, while East Bay United and Mustang Soccer Club sit just two points behind on 11.
