2021 Boys NorCal College Showcase Preview

After the successful return of our College Showcase series this past summer, NorCal Premier Soccer is proud to be back hosting these top class events on a regular basis starting with the 2021 Fall Boys NorCal College Showcase. This weekend, hundreds of boys teams from all across the state will get the chance to impress the nearly 100 college coaches set to attend Saturday and Sunday’s festivities at the Davis Legacy Soccer Complex. It’s a return to normalcy for the region, but also an opportunity for everyone on board.

Schedules and Results

223 games are on the docket for boys in the 2003/04, 2005, and 2006 age groups at the NorCal College Showcase. Each team will play at least two full-length games.

11/13: U16 Santa Rosa United – Briceno Soccer Club 9:50 a.m. @ Pod F Field 15

After an up and down fall season in the ECNL in which they won just one game, Santa Rosa United heads to the showcase looking to impress. They’ll start their weekend off with a tough matchup against Briceno Soccer Club, who missed out on winning the U16 NPL North by just a single point.

11/13: U17 California Odyssey Soccer Club (Makarian) – Union Sacramento 9:50 a.m. @ Pod E Field 11

Fresh off winning the U17 NPL East, Union Sacramento face a tough task in their first showcase game in fellow division winners California Odyssey. While Union were impressive in their league, they dropped two matches — two more than Odyssey who went a perfect 8-0-0 in the NPL South while scoring 44 goals.

11/13: U19 Monterey County Soccer ECFC – FRAM 3:50 p.m. @ Pod A Field 2

Monterey County Soccer proved one of the best NPL sides this past fall and just missed out on an NPL title after the San Francisco Glens finished three points higher than them in the U19 NPL South. They’ll begin their weekend hosting Torrance-based FRAM, one of the top sides from Southern California.

11/14: U17 San Jose Surf – California Odyssey Soccer Club (Aguirre) 8:00 a.m. @ Pod E Field 11

After just missing out on the U17 NPL East title, California Odyssey will look to impress at the NorCal College Showcase and get back to their winning ways. Standing ahead of them will be San Jose Surf, who should pose a tough challenge for anyone this weekend.

11/14: U16 1974 Newark FC – Total Futbol Academy 8:30 a.m. @ Pod A Field 3

By going unbeaten through all eight of their NPL games in the fall season, 1974 Newark FC captured the U16 NPL North title with a 7-0-1 record and plus-30 goal differential. This weekend they’ll face a new foe: tough LA-based club Total Futbol Academy, who are attending the NorCal College Showcase for the first time.

11/14: U19 Monterey County Soccer ECFC – Atletico Santa Rosa 3:50 p.m. @ Pod B Field 5

Monterey County Soccer cap off their weekend with an NPL South rematch against the side that finished directly below them in the standings: Atletico Santa Rosa. The pair of squads faced off earlier in the year, a 3-0 away victory for MCS.
