Featured Matches

11/20: U19 CDA Slammers FC – Placer United 10:20 a.m. @ Pod B Field 5

Placer United heads to the showcase after a successful fall NPL 1 East season saw them claim the title via a one-point margin over Davis Legacy thanks to a stout defense that allowed fewer than one goal per game. In one of the several NorCal vs. SoCal games of the weekend, Placer will welcome CDA Slammers FC of Huntington Beach to the frigid conditions of the Northern California winter in what’s expected to be a tight contest.

11/20: U17 SF United FC – West Coast FC 10:20 a.m. @ Pod A Field 1

In another matchup featuring the two halves of California, SF United FC welcome Orange County’s West Coast FC to the NorCal showcase for an early Saturday matchup. Though SF United FC competed in the NPL 2 West in the fall season, they hardly put a foot wrong in winning their division by six points while only dropping points in a single match.

11/20: U16 MVLA – Pajaro Valley United 3:20 p.m. @ Pod E Field 11

This matchup between MVLA and Pajaro Valley United will see two fall division winners stacked up against each other. MVLA head to the showcase having won the NPL 1 West while scoring an incredible 33 goals while allowing just three. That being said, they did draw three matches in league play while Pajaro Valley won all seven of theirs. Those seven victories, however, did come in the NPL 2 West, a division United seemingly topped with ease.

11/21: U17 Clovis Crossfire – San Francisco Elite Academy 12:10 p.m. @ Pod A Field 3

While neither Clovis Crossfire or San Francisco Elite Academy topped their respective NPL 1 divisions in the fall, both sides proved tough outs — the matchup between the two could end as one of the most competitive fixtures of the weekend. The pair of sides combined to lose just four total games during the league season with Clovis finishing in sixth place in the NPL 1 East and San Francisco Elite Academy placing third in the NPL 1 West.

11/21: U16 Rocklin FC – Palo Alto SC 1:30 p.m. @ Pod E Field 11

Both Rocklin FC and Palo Alto SC just missed out on claiming fall NPL 1 division titles during the recently-completed league season. Rocklin FC finished two points behind Mustang SC in the U16 NPL 1 East but handed Mustang their only loss of the season just over a month ago. Meanwhile, Palo Alto SC placed just a single point behind U16 NPL 1 West winners MVLA.

11/21: U19 San Francisco Elite Academy – Blues FC 2:00 p.m. @ Pod B Field 5

The final featured match of the weekend includes a pair of sides who competed well in their respective NPL 1 divisions, but ultimately finished in fourth place. While both San Francisco Elite Academy and Blues FC each managed to win four of their eight league games, Blues FC placed just three points off of the NPL 1 East-leading Placer United and were in contention for first for much of the season. Meanwhile. San Francisco finished nine points behind FC Bay Area Surf but picked up big victories over four other Bay Area powerhouses.
