Perhaps the most dramatic match of the weekend, it appeared as if Santa Clara Sporting would defend their State Cup title as they led Atletico Santa Rosa 2-1 late in second half stoppage time.

But striker Zachary Batchelder made an overlapping run and hit the ball into the roof of the net to equalize the match before Victor Vargas calmly finished off Sporting in the eighth minute of overtime to complete a dramatic turnaround and help Atletico lift the Cup.

Santa Clara originally found themselves up in the match when Ewan Crutchfield opened the scoring in the 14th minute on a header before Alan Sanchez leveled the game with a penalty.

Angel Avalos Guzman then scored what would have been the winner in the 73rd minute, only for Batchelder to dramatically wing momentum back for Atletico.
