Despite their mid-table finish in the U15 Girls Champions League, Marin FC Blue appear a team built perfectly for State Cup, as they lost just once in league play in finishing with a 1-1-5 record. Their opponents: Davis Legacy Red, a squad that currently tops the U15 Girls NPL 1 with a 4-1-2 record. Marin will enter the match with better Cup form, having defeated North Coast FC 6-0 in the previous round, while the Legacy downed Mavericks Black 2-1.

Their Cup form hasn’t been much worse either, as Elk Grove have scored a resounding 11 goals in their first two knock out games. Meanwhile U15 Girls NPL 1 side EBU Bay Oaks Gold are a mid table team in their league, having put together a 2-2-2 record so far.

Just three places in the table separated Placer United Gold and Mustang SC Elite in the U15 Girls Champions League this season, but the pair of sides faced off last weekend, with Placer capping the NPL College Showcase with a massive 4-0 victory over Mustang. Both sides enter the quarterfinals of the competition having scored three times in the round of 16, with Placer knocking off IR Academy Storm and Mustang defeating California Odyssey Red.
