In a wide-open and well-attended local derby between IR Academy and Sacramento United, IR saw an early goal waved off before breaking the deadlock in the 48th minute after Harlee Vidro hit a shot to the far post that was too strong for the United keeper. 

But just three minutes later, Sacramento’s Jadon Jackson dribbled the IR netminder and passed the ball into an empty net for the equalizer before Sebastian Cervantes scored the eventual game winner on a penalty.

While IR attempted to get back into the game, Sacramento added an insurance goal on a breakaway from towering forward Tucker Massello, who clinched the title for United by slotting it into the back of the net for the victory.
