NorCal State Cup Round of 16 Preview
It’s that time of the year again — after months of difficult games, NorCal Premier Soccer’s State Cup has finally whittled down the competition to 16 teams in each age group at each level. Now, each team will begin traveling to neutral sites around the state in a win-or-go-home format that will be sure to provide mass amounts of drama. This weekend, State division teams kick off all day Saturday and Sunday at the Turlock Sports Complex in Turlock.
On the line will be the prize of qualifying for the State quarterfinals, which take place April 28th and 29th at Mary Grogan Park in Modesto.
Despite some truly awful predictions so far in the State Cup, our so-called “experts” gathered in or Midtown Sacramento studios to recap the Round of 32, preview the Round of 16, and discuss a variety of other topics including #penaltygate in Madrid and which teams are the World Cup favorites.
