This game could have gone either way, as the sides stood deadlocked at the half with a 2-2 scoreline. Ivan Mojica had earlier put Atletico Santa Rosa up by two with a pair of strikes, but late in the first half, Jerry Ayon and Abraham Montano tied it for the Galaxy. A well-struck volley from Alan Soto and a header that went just over the line from Genaro Rangel sealed the deal for Santa Rosa, whose seven points have them just two off the San Jose Earthquakes for the boys U-16 Champions League lead.

In a back-and-forth matchup, MVLA were able to pick up the full three points thanks to a headed goal from Kaela Marsheck in just the 31st minute of the first half. Sistine Noel sent in the ball on a corner kick that would eventually prove the difference in MVLA improving their record to 2-1 on the season. They currently stand just three points back of first-place PSV Union, while Placer United remains tied with three other teams for third place with three points.
