Brackets are Posted
Please send any feedback regarding brackets to region5@norcalpremier.com

Greetings Region 5 Teams!  Your official (but not necessarily final) brackets are posted for review.  Please check them out and send me any necessary feedback.  I have based the brackets off of both your requested bracket as well as your NorCal ranking.  You’ll notice that some brackets have as few as 6 teams and some have as many as 11.  Brackets that have 6 teams will play 10 games (teams will play each other twice). Brackets that have 9, 10, or 11 teams will play everybody once.  Brackets that have 8 teams will play all teams once, and then will replay the first team.  It’s not a perfect system, but it allows us to not only accommodate all teams that wish to play but to place teams in appropriate brackets as well.  Again, please send any feedback or suggestions you may have to me at region5@norcalpremier.com.

Schedules will be posted on August 2nd, but game dates have already been set (see timeline below).  You may begin scheduling your State Cup games before your league schedule is posted, as games can always be rescheduled to accommodate teams.

Managers, thinking ahead, you’ll need to have your US Club player passes and your NorCal rosters, so please start working on your rosters soon, as it may take a while to familiarize yourself with the system.  Home team managers, you will also need to have a game card. Please refer to help section under Quicklinks (on the Home Page) for instructions as to how to print this out.

Please read the Region 5 rules posted to the left.  I would recommend that you make copies of these rules and distribute them to all of your parents and coaches as well as to the referee before the game.  There are a few rules that are not the "normal" soccer rules, such as the rules we use for throw-ins and for goal kicks at this age.  Please review the rules and be sure that you understand them.  I further recommend that you discuss these two rules in particular with the opposing manager or coach as well as with the referee so that everyone is on the same page. These rules are intended to help the game move along, not to be a source of aggravation.

Finally, please be sure that you are using the LOG button to communicate with each other so that the communication is kept transparent for all. If a game needs to be rescheduled, you are welcome to reschedule at the convenience of BOTH teams.

Looking forward to a super Fall Season!

Fall 2010 Timeline

All teams are guaranteed a minimum of 8 games.  For Fall League purposes, U9s are those players born AFTER JULY 31, 2001, while U10s are those players that were born AFTER July 31, 2000. (Please see Age Group Chart for further clarification.)  Teams will host half of their games and will be responsible for providing two licensed referees as well as quality fields for these games.  Once the schedule is posted, teams will work together to set their game times.  It is important to set game times well in advance in order to avoid conflicts.  Please be aware that this is a Saturday league, but that it will occasionally be necessary to play games on Sundays.

Team Registration Fee is $100 for this League.

  • April 17 - Game Day #3
  • April 24 - Game Day #4
  • May 1 - Rescheduled Game Day if necessary
  • May 8 - Game Day #5
  • May 15 - Game Day #6

All teams are guaranteed a minimum of 6 games.  For Spring League purposes, U8s are those players who will be U9s in the fall and are, therefore, born AFTER JULY 31, 2001, while U9s are those players that will be U10s in the fall and were born AFTER July 31, 2000. Let the Games Begin!

Region 5 Spring League games get started this weekend, so a few things you’ll want/need to know.

Managers, you’ll need to have your US Club player passes and either a US Club roster or a NorCal roster.  Many of you have been having difficulty creating NorCal rosters, but not to worry: you can simply use your US Club rosters.

Looking forward to a great Spring Season!

U9 Boys Schedule is Posted

Region 5 Spring Schedule is posted for U9 boys (see left).  There are no schedules for U8 Girls, U9 Girls, and U8 Boys because there weren’t enough teams to fill these divisions.  U9 Boys managers, please begin to set game times for your home games and please work with the opposing team when doing so in order to avoid conflicts.
