U14-U19 NorCal State Cup Semifinals Recap

While cup soccer often pits mismatched sides against each other due to various upsets and matchups, NorCal Premier Soccer’s State Cup semifinals last Saturday at the Davis Legacy Soccer Complex and Mary Grogan Park proved how competitive each team was, and how slim the margins of victory are. Of the close to 100 games played, exactly half were decided by either one goal or via kicks from the mark in what was an exciting Mother’s Day weekend for all.

KNOCKOUT BRACKETS

Though there were several exciting games in all of NorCal’s divisions, the weekend’s action from the State Cup bracket of the tournament certainly lived up to its lofty expectations. Overall, there were three clubs which advanced multiple teams, as Lamorinda United leading the way by winning all four of their semifinals. The other two clubs with multiple teams in the final were Marin FC and Davis Legacy.

Here’s a roundup of the action ahead of this Saturday and Sunday’s matches at Cosumnes River College that will determine, once and for all, who takes home the coveted State Cup title.
